DON'T MISS THE SECOND EDITION OF THE MAYAN WIND FEST, TO BE HELD JANUARY 16TH -19TH, 2025 IN PUERTO CANCUN, MEXICO!
The largest sailing and water sports event in Mexico. It attracts athletes from all over the world, who will compete in a wide variety of classes and modalities. This event will not only showcase the best level of riding and sailing in Mexico; there will also be a festival with music in the evenings for everyone.
This year, Mayan Wind Fest will be a Qualifying Regatta for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in the ILCA, IQFoil & Formula kite classes. It will also be a qualifying event in the optimist class for youth Mexican sailor to represent their country at the international championships in 2025.
Stakes are high for you young sailors!
Kiteboarders will also try to score as much points as possible toward the national championship, as the Mayan Wind Fest will be the 1st stop of the AMK mexican kiteboarding championship. Next stops will be in Yucatán and then the champions will be crown in Nayarit. Pro kiteboarders from around the world will come to the Mayan Wind Fest. Stay tuned for High level action in January!
Wingfoiling is the fastest growing watersport in the world, and Cancún is the ultimate spot to do it! Wingfoilers from around the world will come to enjoy the perfect conditions, but also race in slalom racing, course racing and long distances.
In January, the wind usually blows between 12 and 25 knots and the water temperature is warm. The event will be held at the facilities of the Puerto Cancun Sailing Club, which has all the necessary amenities, and an opportunity for parents, spectators, and athletes to spend the day there and watch the competition very close to the beach.
All the elements are set for a great show with good vibes on the beach, and amazing level on the water! Save the date and don't miss it!

At the Mayan Wind Fest, the ILCA, iQFoil and Formula Kite categories will be selective for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games. This event offers young talents the opportunity to compete for a place on the international stage.

The Mayan Wind Fest 2025 will be a key regatta in the national Optimist circuit, where young sailors will be able to accumulate points to qualify for international championships. This event will offer excellent sailing conditions in Cancun and will be a unique opportunity for emerging talents to showcase their skills.
